Success Story - Elsa - UIICL AO

Hello everyone. This is eLsA. I would like to share my roller coaster ride to the selection for the post of Administrative Officer in UIICL. I suddenly feel like a grown up girl with a long list of crazy dreams to be fulfilled and most importantly sharing the responsibility of my dad. :)

I gave two attempts at Medical Entrance Exams, cleared prelims but could not clear mains. My friends decided to give one more try, but I had always been curious to dream a new dream :D

Many people were upset with my decision. I then took admission in B.Sc. (H) in Biotechnology in one of the most reputed colleges of my city. I worked hard, burned the midnight oil and after 3 years my efforts were acknowledged. I was the University Topper and received two gold medals. My parents were very proud but my goal was still not defined. People used to ask me what next? I was blank because it needed a M.Sc. and PhD for a good job in that field. I couldn't afford to give that much time.

Then I heard about one of my friend's sister getting selected as a Probationary Officer in Indian Overseas Bank. It struck my mind and I felt that this could be my dream too. My father encouraged me a lot as he is also from service sector. :D

I joined a local coaching institute for four months, attended classes and gave regular tests. My strategy was a bit different. I worked more on my strengths to make it most scoring and simultaneously worked on Quant so that I can manage to pass in it. But what to do in GA?

Here comes Bankers Adda into my story which I joined about four months back. I solely depended on BA capsules for all my exams. I filled limited forms, and fixed my targets. Exams that i appeared in are:
  • SBI PO – failed
  • ICICI P.O Manipal Programme- selected (did not join)
  • IBPS PO - 88 marks
  • IBPS Clerk - 151 (interview not given)
  • SBI Associate PO - Qualified (result awaited)
  • UIICL AO - Final selection

This is not the end. The journey has just begun and I still have a lot many dreams to accomplish. I know...

There will be obstacles,
There will be doubters,
There will be mistakes,
But with hard work,
There will be no limits.'
