Hai friends,

Mehrauli, New DelhiA journey from june 2010 to April 2015

Hi I’m a 2009 passed out B.E graduate. After that I spent a hectic one year jobless preparing for GATE(I missed GATE by 1 marks). I applied for the Indian bank PO in May 2010, at that time I thought getting a job as PO would be a cake walk. Since I have managed to get a PG seat through TANCET exam, I didn’t write the PO exam.

Scorching heat makes you stronger- Sonali Sharma (PO- Bank of Baroda)

Name: Dummy
P.O. in Bank of Baroda

Finally after much introspection I'm penning down my story.

I come from a middle class family. In school I was always counted as a mediocre student. In college I was among the low scoring students. So all in all my life has been a mediocre life with very less money and very less intellect. After my graduation in economics from Delhi university I was lost. I didn't want to study economics any further but I could see no other option but a masters degree that time.

Success Story - Mohan - Bank of India - PO & Clerk

Place : Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu)
Qualification : BE , MBA (Finance)
Work Experience : 6 years in IT
Allotment : BOI PO, BOI Clerk

I had pursued my UG & PG degrees from top reputed institutions in TN. Got placed on-campus in IT during my final years in Engineering. I was very happy to work in IT with good starting salary. IT gave me a very good experience and knowledge in banking and insurance field. 6 years passed by in a jiffy and I was looking for a change outside IT due to various personal and official reasons. Main reason of all was Job security. One of my college juniors hinted me about bank exams and its feasibility. I took a very hard + crucial decision and left my high profile job. Many of my friends and relatives told I have taken a very stupid decision but I did not lose hope. I started working on my goal. I had no idea about how to start with my preparation. I met my 12th maths tuition teacher who was a senior clerk in SBI then. He asked me to go for coaching in-order to get an idea. I searched for centres in my native but in vain.

Guyz boreds of reading success stories can skip this if u wish while others who wanna join my happiness pls go ahead:) I finished my B.Sc in 2008 n my MBA in 2010!! Being an average student I couldn’t get placed in campus interviews:( By god’s grace started up my HR career in a private organization but wasn’t satisfied. Side by side I was writing bank exams too but not sincerely.. My dad encouraged me 2 take coaching classes n even advised 2 quit d job n prepare well.. But I did neither of them:( Days passed on n finally I resigned my job in july 2013 n gave up exams on my own prep. Followed by a couple of failures found myself little happy when I cleared ibps clerk III but just 1 mark above cut off:(

Hello everyone
I am a small town girl from Bihar who is the first girl from her family to come out of home, do a post graduation, do a job and finally getting into government sector.

My story starts when I decided to do my MBA. My father spent some 1 lac on my coaching and then 10 LACS on my MBA. 3 years invested( I don't think I wasted my time because it made me learn a lot of things) but  I got placed in a private bank. My family was really happy and proud of me.

I Dont Make Excuses I Make Results – KHUSHABU GUPTA – IBPS PO ( IDBI BANK) & CLERK (PNB)

Hello BA,

I am a silent observer of  BA. My heartiest thanks to BA for playing as an instructor  in my achievement. I belongs from a village of East champaran, Bihar. Where there is no such good facility to educate girl child. Even girls are not allowed to go to High school for their study. I did self study to get qualified in my 10th ,I always wanted to study further but financial condition of my family was not so stable  & for a girl child there was some limitations for the higher study too. I told my parents about my thought & insist them for the same. Then I go to Patna for my further study & used to take 3-4 tution classes and teach as part time faculty in one school to support my study & my younger brother study too.

Inhale Confidence Exhale Doubt- Roshan lal Sharma

Hi All,

I always thinks myself as a successful person, but this is much different. This was my first year in banking exams. I heard about IT Officers post around seven months ago and that time I wasn't aware about this. That time I thought that IT officer is a higher level than my capability, but by good strategy it came very easily to me. In these seven months I stepped level by level. I am B.Tech graduate in 2014 with IT stream. I comes from GENERAL category. Here are the details of bank exams given by me...

Hello readers,

Year 2012...
i passed out my B.tech from electronics and communication ..like all aspirants i too was dreaming for the vibrant future ahead but first dissapointment was that there was no campus placement from my college. .After college i tried for a job and got one but working for around 8 months wasnt satisfied with the work culture and routine so quitted and final pressure was on me for goverment job and my parents are both in government jobs so all forces from all direction was over me to try and get goverment job for decent and secure life :)

Hard work always bears sweat fruit- Vijy Gupta

Hi Readers,

I am Vijay Gupta,I started giving speed tests and always tried to compete my self. Started with only 60 marks I took it to 140-150. And hard work always bears sweat fruits.

My first exam was SBI PO , I didn't clear the written exam by only 6 marks. This gave me a shock and demoralised me. But I regained my motion and my second exam was I guess SBI Clerk or RBI Assistants. I got the momentum.Exams I cleared.

I have been thinking for 3days what to write in a success story, why because i did not expect that one day god will give a chance for writing my success story.

Let me start with what i actually want to say. 1st and foremost heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty who has taken care of me in each and every step in my life. I wanted to dedicate my success to some v.important people of my life. Obviously the list starts with my mom. She has a key role in my success. She is not only my mom but also my guide,my guru and what not,everything...Then my dad who is my 1st guru. I strongly believe that one should have strong basics to climb the ladder of success and those basics were given to me by my father. From my 6th to 10th class he is maths teacher and he printed a strong passion towards maths in my heart.

I have a passion to do MBA, so i joined for CAT coaching immediately after passing out my b.tech.

I gave my 1st attempt of CAT in 2013 october, but i could not make it to IIMs though i got some decent percentile. I thought of giving next attempt to CAT but you all know about this society, they started throwing stones of words like "Y dont u marry a good guy and settle down, is it necessary for a girl to study this much" ...etc. Then I thought the answer for these all questions is a job, if i get a good job then these people dont speak like this then i can do whatever i want to.
Then I started preparing for Bank exams on the advise of my parents. Now the real problem started as i have nill knowledge in GK and banking. Then i met my mentor Sri Satish sir, he became the turning point of my life. From his banking classes i've learnt a lot. On this occasion i express my sincere thanks to him.

Daily I read news paper but i dont know what are the imp points to remember... Then i came across BA capsule... The relation with BA started here, I used to participate in quizes and interact with people over here and shared knowledge. BA has given me a chance to understand competition. Again I express my gratitude towards BA for giving me a wonderful platform.
I got less score in written exam of IBPS po than i expected but my interview marks(78/100)gave me life and now I can happily say I am PO in UNION BANK OF INDIA:))) The remaining exams which i attended were

  • SBI PO - missed in 1 mark due to sectional cutoff of DI for unreserved category
  • SIDBI- Written not cleared
  • Ibps RRB PO- 123 marks (called for interview in AGPVB but i am not going to attend :P)
  • Ibps RRB OA- 159 MARKS
  • Ibps clerk- written 142 and interview 79 marks and combined score is 72.6 and in reserve list.

I would like to say only 1thing to the future aspirants that is work smartly, do not give up at any stage in life. Keep faith in GOD, he will guide you.
Finally i want to thank each and every person who motivated me, who helped me in this wonderful journey. I will be always in debt of you my dear BA:)

THANK YOU ALL FOR READING MY SUCCESS STORY AND I HOPE YOU WILL BE IN A POSITION TO SHARE YOUR SUCCESS STORY IN THE NEAR FUTURE. Congratulations to those who made it and heartfelt best wishes to all future bankers. Thank you.

Success Story - Akhil Kakkar

Hii everyone ,,
I am silent reader over this site and I wanted to share my success story.

Year 2013 completed my btech in ece and didn't got placed anywhere, bcoz of no campus placement in our college. Then thought of preparing for bank exams so from thereon started my preparations . Gave both ibps (po and clerk) and was failed in po though cleared clerk but didn't got alloted due to less marks in written. I remember the date 1april2014 when clerk3 result was announced , the time I watched the result I felt that my life has been ended and was literally thinking of killing my self . The time passed started searching for pvt job in marketing field but didn't got that bcoz there first question was always that ki    " btech chorr k aap marketing kyu Karna chahte " I always thought in mind ki enhe kaun bataye ki agar btech base pe itni job hoti to itne thakke kaun khatta. So was rejected from everywhere and I used to cry every night,  even stop talking to my friends . when ever any relative came to my home I use to sit in separate room bcoz I knew there first ques will be "job  nahi milli kya" and if I reply them ki govt job se reh gya then also they have perfect reply" govt job itni aasani se nahi milti ".

Hello guys,

I am M***. I am a regular visitor of bankersadda. I have now been selected as SBI Assistant, PO in Oriental Bank of Commerce, Assistant in United Bank of India.

I was always a bright student from very start. I used to top the class every year, had a very great impression on my school teachers,on my college teachers and on my social circle too. I was a person so talented ( especially for other people) that parents used to quote my examples to their wards ( and those wards hated me like hell, I got to know this when after so many years we grew up and got in touch again via fb or orkut).

My parents had so many hopes from me. But my unluck was following me, and in my crucial period of studies my father left us all. It made me so upset and demoralized that I decided to quit my studies. But my mamu supported me in every way, and took care of me and my studies. I took admission in degree college and somehow proved my worth over there too. I developed a confidence, a personality and the traits I guess a private company would have ever demanded. But to my bad luck, I could not get a job, I almost cleared 5-6 written tests and interviews, but all of them offered joining in far away places( I could not leave my mom back alone and I was afraid that people will call me a fool and I didn't tell anybody that I did quit coz of this). My dream company selected me in my last semester, but due to urgent requirement, they called ECE students and left CSE students, as our last exam was scheduled the next day they needed us to join. It almost left me broken. And I decided to follow my mother's wish to pursue M.Tech. I got selected in a good institute and completed the degree with 3 researches published with really good journals(2 in IEEE, one of the most reputed journal in our field). Till now I had selected and accepted the teaching field as my passion and carrier. I was desperate to be a lecturer( my inner soul wanted me to be a professor).

I joined an engineering institute nearby my place, and they offered me very less, but I was happy coz I was in a profession of my choice. I worked very hard there, people used to get jealous of me that a junior is achieving more( coz I was given the chance to be the Convener of an International Conference after just 4 months of my joining). I was really happy to get a recognition to my talent and caliber. But parallely it all pulled me into the castism issues much prevalent in our state. I was kind of tortured emotionally and professionally( I also could not clear my NET exam by just 2 marks, as I wanted myself to stay in my profession). Then my parents again decided to make me switch my profession as they found me working hard for sticking to my passion even though I was under paid and had to bear tensions at a height. I then started preparing for banking exams blindly. I just worked hard for 2 months when I was on leave. But I could not clear SBI PO( the main exam I was aspiring for). It was almost a level when I was left shattered that I started believing that I don't have any talent, and m just a waste who can do nothing, can achieve nothing). My relatives and the whole society was cursing my parents for getting me involved in a private job where I used to spend almost 11 hours( had to travel for1.5 hours on one side to reach my insti). Nothing bothered me more than the feelings that my mom was dealing with daily. Though I was still satisfied that I will find a better job in my field easily after I get an experience of 2 years. I used to see my mom tensed and sad that her child is not getting her worth. Her words used to break me into pieces BETA YOU DON'T DESERVE THIS. She even asked my younger sister to stop being serious for studies, as she was discouraged to see me into this shit. Then I decided that SBI PO was the great opportunity, but not the only one. I need to work hard and atleast try for more. I appeared in RBI assistant exam but could not clear it too.then even I used to fill up every form, but skipped appearing in them due to my fear of one more failure. I missed RRB PO for the same reason, but then one day I saw the result and cleared RRB Assistants with good marks. my mom was not happy again..A few days later IBPS PO and SBI Assistant results were declared. I cracked both of them. Now it was time to be happy. But my mom said I am with you, but YOU KNOW LAGOGI TO TUM P.O. HI. It motivated me and I tried my best for interviews. I left the job with a full time target to be a PO. I started reading 2 newspapers daily. I used to visit bankersadda atleast 3_4 times a day to not even miss a single post. The daily news section of Bankersadda provided me a nutshell news junction, that helped me save my time spent in reading the rubbish news in papers. It gave me a confidence that none of the current affairs are being missed by me. it became my habit for almost 3 months to even sleep and wake up with bankersadda page open. If the techniques are concerned thanks to my guide, but GA is all due to bankersadda. Now when I have 3 big deals in my hand, its my mom who is more happier than me, my mamu who is feeling luckiest on earth, and I am feeling proud that I made my mom happy. a smile that I see on her face when she dials a no to tell my relatives that yes my daughter is the first child of this generation to grab a govt job in our family. a proud when she is purchasing gifts, a shine in her eyes when she greets somebody who comes home to bless me. I am seriously in love with my success, a proud moment for my parents due to me. And yes this is my success. my parents smile..

Whole credit goes to mom, mamu nd my sister for being there with me in my times of struggle, stress and failure.. Your motivation and support has made me reach here..

na zameen ki umeed, na asmaan ki chaah h
jiske lie kuch pana h, kuch kar dikhana h, wo meri maa h

na haare the hausla, na chhodi thi mehnat
najare thi PO par, or padhte the raat tak

Hi Friends,

I am Chaitanya Sawarkar. I did my Engineering from Medi-Caps college, Indore(2010 pass-out). I was selected through campus but I left the job in just 4 months as I was not comfortable working in IT company. For past 3-4 years I have been giving every govt exam like UPSC, Banks POs, Insurance. Every time I failed by just 2-3 numbers. For 3 times I gave interviews but was rejected. I was very frustrated. Finally this year I got selected in Dena Bank as PO. But every time I took these exams I followed some simple steps which I would like to share with you all. These techniques, I think, are must. I am sharing what you need to do for following sections.

Success Story - Priya Barnwal - Bank of Baroda

Hello everyone

I am a small town girl from Bihar who is the first girl from her family to come out of home, do a post graduation, do a job and finally getting into government sector.

MY Success Story – “My name is not important but my story is”

It’s quite an unusual story and would not like to call it a success story because for me success is getting to the next level and it’s not static. I am 28 years old, having lived quite a reasonable life with almost all luxuries a person would want. I did not have any career plans and in fact this is the reason I am not where I could have been knowing my own potential.

Mom's Daughter - JOTS - PNB (PO & Clerk)

Name-jots :)
Graduation sub-bca (2014)
Final selction- pnb (both po and clerk)
Earlier - selected in rbi assist..( interview me 4 marks aur dete  ..huh)

when everyone is writing thier own sucess stories..i would like to tell about my mom's success...yes.. whatever i am today is only due to my mom.

Success Story - Sriom Mishra (IBPS Clerk - Corporation Bank)

Finally a sigh of relief. Got selection in cwe clerk with avg  marks in written and the worst interview I have ever given in my life( out of 9 interviews till now I have given). This is surely a support from god side man , because during interview whatever questions they have asked rather than answering them directly I was moving them around the bush and that to wrong one and even getting irritated too much with there cross questioning ahhh. Really worst experience . so leaving behind these things lets start with making of road to success.

“To Succeed in Life, You need two things: Ignorance & Confidence” -------- Mark Twain

I hail from a small town Ranchi & being from a middle class family, I have seen many ups & downs in my life. It was my mother’s dream to get into Govt services when she was young but couldn’t do it because there was no support from her family at that time. So I would like to dedicate my success to my mother, without whose support this wouldn’t have been possible.

Hardwork Pays- Parvesh Singla a.k.a. P.S. (Bank Clerk in Punjab National Bank)

So here I am finally selected as Clerk in PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK. Wow the feeling is awesome and especially when you see the smiling faces of your parents. I can’t explain how happy I am today. Lekin mein maanti huun ki zindagi hame  aise bahot saare mauke deti hain us mauke pe chauka mare ya na , hamara haat mein hota hain.Even though I was born in a middle class family, I was leading a comfortable life, thanks to my parents who sacrificed their needs for my wants. Basically  I am an easy going person with a laid back attitude and realized my place in the unemployed world within two months of my graduation. I attended a number of interviews without even bothering about the job profile (even though I am a B Pharm graduate) which finally landed me in a job with an Australian based healthcare company. Even then Life was not a bed of roses, with my shifts starting at 2 am in the morning.

A LOVE DRIVEN STRUGGLE-Yuvraj Sharma(PO-Punjab and Sind Bank)

Hello Everyone..

I completed my engineering from mechanical branch in 2011 and worked as an engineer since, at Lanco Infrastructure in their Solar division. I had a girlfriend and we were in a quiet serious relationship. By the mid of 2013, it was high time and we were thinking of disclosing about our relation at her home. From 2011 to 13 Lanco saw torrid times and we worked at same salary with no increments. Many in this period were given pink slips and the sword was hanging on us as well. But my team stayed protected somehow till 2013 mid.

Do your best and leave the rest - Manju Sharma(IBPS clerk)

Hello Readers

This is not my success story. Through this post I want to motivate those candidates who are working and want to make their career in govt. sector. Before starting to prepare for banking exams I had read someone’s   success story and felt motivated to follow the same path.

Quick  glance on my study and working life-

I have started my first job at the age of 17 due to some family crisis. At that time I was in 12th. Due to good academic record School principal had allowed me to sit in the exam and I completed my 12th.After that I had done correspondence graduation with job.

And joined in a coaching center...for 2 months...,  like all the other engineering students i also feel that bank exams are very easy..no need to prepare for that, with this type of thinking i didn't practice hardly, just prepared before the exam day like our engineering semesters...
