A JOURNEY FROM A ARMY MAN TO A BANK PO OF PNB

Name :- Himangshu Das
State:- Assam

It was august 2012 when i decided to resign from HCL to prepare for SSB. But even after lots of   hard work I couldn’t make it to the final merit. I was conference out once from NSB( Naval Selection Board, Coimbatore) and AFSB twice and for army screened out twice. I was busy with my interviews to get into defence and My GF was preparing for IBPS PO.  At that time i got my name into the merit list of one of paramilitary forces and I joined in September 2013. Rigorous training started and after 4 months of hard training made me sick and forced me to admit in a MH hospital and it was the months of December my GF cleared IBPS PO.

Though I was sick I was very happy with my GF’s result and motivated her for interview. Then
suddenly my guruji came and told me i will not be able to continue my further training with my colleagues and I have to wait for a new batch. My head stopped working and I cried a lot. And I decided to prepare for bank. I resigned and came home in February 2014 though I was not fully recovered. After one month i fully recovered but till then i had fully broken from inside. Now lots of obstacles in front of me as my father was also retired at that time. I was mentally depressed and my GF supported me and finally April 1, 2014 she cracked IBPS PO and got UCO bank.

Till then I was fully blank about banking and all. One day my GF was searching salary structure of PO and she got to know about Bankers Adda. She told me to join a coaching centre but that time we were not financially strong to join the coaching centre and i started to follow bankers adda. And after some days BA became my everything. From morning to night i started to follow only BA. Then i wrote SBI PO but i tested my first failure of bank exams. Then I changed my strategy and stared to study 15-16 hours a day. Meanwhile i wrote

RBI GR B(missed by 6 marks),
SBI CLERK(FINALLY SELECTED, total score 156),
RBI ASSISTANT(missed by 2 marks).

But i didn’t loose hope and did not lessen my preparation. And finally i wrote my IBPS PO on 11 oct,2014(1stday 1st show) and it went avg. But i was sure that i will clear the exam but was little afraid of high cut off. But i got 91(36.4) and in the interview 80(16) and on April 1st  2015 i got my 2nd taste of success after SBI clerk and i got my first preference PNB(Punjab national bank).

At time the inverter of our house was also not working in the month of aug-sept and i studied with candle and my torch light. But i didnot lessen my study hour because the mental state which i was going through, no one can understand that. Lots of days at night i cried a lot with depression but i didn’t loose hope and tried to make stable my preparations.

EXAMS CLEARED :
1) SBI CLERK ( SELECTED)
2) RRB PO ( 111)
3) IBPS PO (PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK)
4) IBPS CLERK (UCO BANK)
5) NIACL AO (written cleared but could not make it to final merit)

Find your own strategy and just do practice English, Math, Reasoning daily. Just practice and practice and job will be yours. And for GK just trust once BA and see the difference. Just eat the capsules of BA from your heart and participate in all quizzes. I am the live example of BA and i have proved that to be succeed one need not to join a coaching centre. Just follow BA from your heart and i am dam sure you will be succeeded in your life too. Those who are weak in English one personal advice that you can never skip your food, like that do not skip to practice English. Just practice English daily and you will get a good mark in English too.

So friends i just want to say you all that don’t loose hope and confidence and don’t be negative ever in your life. If you want to be a real banker just have patience and always be positive.

And finally i want to dedicate my success to my parents, GF, shruti madam, Neeraj sir and all BA team. Without Shruti madam , Neeraj sir and BA it won’t be possible for me. I will always be obliged to you all.

WISH YOU ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR FUTURE FRIENDS.
