Hardwork Pays- Parvesh Singla a.k.a. P.S. (Bank Clerk in Punjab National Bank)

So here I am finally selected as Clerk in PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK. Wow the feeling is awesome and especially when you see the smiling faces of your parents. I can’t explain how happy I am today. Really want to say a BIG THANX to BAKERSADDA. It has not been possible without BA, Shruti Mam, parents, my friends and yaa I can’t forget myself.

I completed my graduation in 2012 (B.Tech in ECE) and started searching for job, gave interviews in 2-3 companies and also appeared for state level government jobs but still no luck and that’s how my 2012 is over. Now came 2013 and I again pack myself for new journey, searched for job and finally decided to go Bangalore to try my luck but maybe God has planned something else for me…My father became sick and got hospitalized, financial problems occurred I know I have to support my family so I cancelled my tour to Bangalore. My father came back home after 2-3 days but still he had to rest at home. This way my half 2013 was gone and then one of known person of my cousin told me todo Industrial Automation course and he said he will hire me after completion of my course. The course was of 6 months. I completed the course and that person ditched me and told me I have no vacancy. I felt really disheartened at that time. But my family was always there to support me and encourage me. They always told me something better is waiting for you.

So now my 2014 starts and I decided to prepare for Bank exams and started preparing for it I gave following of the exams

IBPS SO -- written out
SBI SO   –   written out
SBI PO   –   written out

After seeing my results I felt depressed and decided to join coaching for it. In July I joined a coaching centre and started preparing for it more seriously. Whatever I was taught in coaching the same thing I tried to revise at home and try to give at least 3 speed tests per week.

In September I came to contact with Bankersadda when one of my friend studying with me in coaching centre show me BA capsule for RRB exam. I found it very good and useful. I came home and on Google I searched for Bankersadda RRB capsule and downloaded it and seriously it helped me a lot in clearing my GA section. In speed test I was never able to do more than 15 questions whereas after reading BA GK capsule I was able to do at least 30 questions in exams and I felt wow my accuracy has gone doubled in GA.

After giving my exam I visit Bankersadda and was a silent observer for few days as I was shy to comment and slowly I get to know about moderators and Shruti Mam…So I also start commenting and participating in quizzes…Really BA quizzes are awesome and they helped me a lot and the Gk quizzes organized by quiz masters every evening speciallyI always tried to maintain accuracy as I know it’s a key factor in scoring good scores in exams. After that I gave more exams.

SBI Clerk – Written out
RRB Clerk – 171 (attempted 180)
IBPS PO – out in overall score (got 47.40 out of 100) (93 in written)
IBPS Clerk – Selected in PNB (75.20 out of 100) and 153 in written
SBI ASSO PO- written out
SBI ASSO Clerk – waiting for written result
IBPS SO – written out
NABARD – cleared tier 1 and preparing for tier 2

I dedicate my success story to The Almighty, my parents, friends and Shruti Mam and to my whole BA family.Really BA also gave me a lot of amazing friends and I always owe to it.

My message to all those aspiring candidates that “Hardwork Pays”. I want to say to all those students who didn’t get success, work hard with your complete honesty and you will surely crack the exam and interview.

Really want to say thanks to BA and my friends and especially to interview discussion and mock interviews which helped me a lot in getting knowledge about banking terminologies and clearing my interviews.

Parvesh Singla (P.S.)
