I am a B.E in mechanical 2013 passout,it was my passion to get into a core job like everyone around but things didn't turn out as i expected it to be,
For two long years i did nothing more than just killing time expecting someone to get me a core job through reference,i din't attend even a single interview in a span of 2 years.
When the situation started getting worse with everyone around criticizing me for staying at home doing nothing, this is when i realised that i had to build my career myself.
There wouldn't be a better option to get a job than attempting competitive exams especially banking,
Though i had attempted 2exams prior to that point i had not given it a serious thought.
SBM CLERK-2014-97/200(CUTOFF-107-missed out mainly due to reasoning and gk)
2015 was the year when i actually made up my mind to give it a fair try if not my best,
I attempted 4 exams in all which are mentioned below:
1)RRB PO-81/200(failed cutoff-104)
2)RRB CLERKS-97/200(failed cutoff-118)
Mains-70/200(failed-since i got zero in reasoning)
This is when i realised that competitive exams were not only about one's intelligence but time management too was the key.
To hone my time management skills i decided to buy online mock tests.
Trust me when i tell this, the mock tests from TESTBOOK and CAREERPOWER did me a world of good.
It was time for the final showdown I.e ibps clerical,i was aware that i couldn't afford to miss out on ibps clerical coz i would have to wait for another year to get another chance.
I studied quite a bit for ibps clerical prelims(1hour a day) and 1week prior to the prelims i attempted the onlinemock tests(1 or 2 a day)
Likewise i attempted around 10 mock tests in all and this actually got me on the right track.
I attempted 75questions in prelims and managed to score 68.25/100 and was feeling very confident for the mains.
I was in a state of confusion when i got a core job in bangalore through a consultancy.
Ibps clerical mains was scheduled on 2nd Jan 2016,I had to report for my job on 17th DEC,so since i would not get enough time to study for mains i thought of skipping the mains since my exam centre was in mysore.
Luckily i made up my mind to attend the mains, though without much preparation apart from a bit of glancing through the gk and current affairs and eventually i did very well in the ibps clerical mains,
- Total attempts-175
I am allotted with CANARA BANK
I was on top of the world when i viewed the results, even when i was down with all odds against me i never lost hope and the belief i had in myself helped me fight for one more time.
Every time i attempted an exam i tried to get the positives inspite of not being able to clear the exams, got better and better and finally managed to nail one.
I thank the Almighty who made me believe in my potential and my parents who were there to support me throughout my journey.
Always "BELIEVE IN YOURSELF",
After all Self-belief and a bit of hardwork is what makes u succeed in life.
I hope my story inspires quite a few atleast if not many.
